We hope this communication finds you happy and well in the New Year. In order to keep you connected with The Summit, we'd like to share a few updates.

 

--The "LOVE YOUR SCHOOL” SUMMIT ON-LINE AUCTION is now underway. Click here to preview the catalog, register and BID on your favorite items. The Summit Auction proceeds support the advancement of The Summit’s mission. The catalog is full of "loveable” luxuries, gourmet dinners, fine wines, sporting tickets and very special Summit offerings. Bid on-line until 6:00 p.m. on March 7, 2010. Don’t miss out on this very special opportunity to support your alma mater!

 

-- The McKenzie-Sargent Distinguished Alumni Award, named in honor of our first two alumnae, Anna McKenzie and Olive Sargent, Class of 1893, is The Summit’s highest award given to alumni. The award is presented annually at Commencement to an alumna/us of the Upper School or The Summit Boys School (through 1971) for his or her achievements in career, community volunteer leadership and/or service to The Summit. All graduates of The Summit are eligible for nomination, except those currently serving on The Summit Country Day School Board of Trustees or Summit Alumni Association Board. We encourage you to help us to identify alumni who deserve recognition by nominating a friend, a classmate or yourself! Nominations must be received by Monday, March 15. --- Share news of your life with your fellow classmates in the CLASS NOTES section of The Summit Magazine. We are interested in hearing about your life such as marriages, employment, promotions, publications, births, deaths, travel, awards, and much more. Submit news via e-mail to maxwell_s@summitcds.org. In order to be published in the Spring 2010 Magazine, please submit your notes by Monday, March 15.

 

-- The FLEUR-DE-LIS MASS AND LUNCHEON, celebrating alumni who have graduated 40 or more years ago will be held on campus on Friday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m.

 

-- **Save the Date**! Our COMBINED HOMECOMING AND REUNION FESTIVITIES WILL KICK OFF ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2010. Look for your Save the Date card in the mail soon. Friday, (9/17) ALL ALUMNI are invited and welcome to attend the All-School Reunion Cocktail Party beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday,(9/18) we will host an Awards Luncheon honoring our Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame Award Winners. Class years ending in "0” and "5” are encouraged to plan their individual reunion gatherings that evening. If you are interested in helping organize your Class Year Reunion, please e-mail Susan Maxwell, Alumni Relations Associate at maxwell_s@summitcds.org or e-mail your Class Representative. Sunday (9/19) we invite all Alumni back to campus for an All Community Mass sponsored by The Summit Alumni Association; Mass will be followed by historical tours and a light reception.
